Orion RLT is a Vancouver company, founded in 2020, that sells red light panels from $449 to $7,199 CAD and ships them across Canada in 3 to 9 business days including processing, with a 60-day trial on panels. It's the better choice if you want a panel under about $2,500 or a modular setup. At the large sizes, Hale's RLPRO costs less than the Orion panel of similar size, lists eight wavelengths to the Orion Pro series' two, and carries a three-year warranty, but takes 25 to 30 business days to arrive.
Who wrote this: Hale Health sells RLPRO panels. Hale doesn't sell Orion products and earns nothing from the Orion links on this page. This compares published offers and terms checked on October 14, 2026, not a hands-on test.
Who Orion is
Orion's terms name Orion Innovations Ltd., doing business as Orion RLT, and its store ships from Vancouver. Vancouver Magazine named its founders as Clarence Le and Matthew Liao and dated the launch to 2020. The Canadian store, orionrlt.ca, prices everything in CAD and doesn't charge Canadian buyers import duties.
Panels matched by size
| Hale RLPRO | Closest Orion by size | What differs |
|---|---|---|
| RLPRO 1000, 153 × 42 cm, 720 LEDs: $3,900 CAD with wheeled stand | Orion Pro 3000, 156 × 46 cm (61.5 × 18 in), 600 LEDs: $5,799 CAD panel only, $6,199 CAD with stand | Similar length; Orion is 4 cm wider. RLPRO costs less with a stand included. Orion lists 2 wavelengths, RLPRO 8. In the narrower 23 cm width, the Orion Pro 1500 (156 × 23 cm) is $2,899 CAD. |
| RLPRO 1200, 184 × 42 cm, 864 LEDs: $4,800 CAD wheeled, $5,200 CAD electric | Orion Pro 3600, 185 × 46 cm (73 × 18 in), 720 LEDs: $7,199 CAD panel only, $7,599 CAD with stand | Similar height and width; RLPRO costs less. For the same height in a narrower strip, the Orion Pro 1800 (185 × 23 cm) is $3,599 CAD. |
| RLPRO 2000, 189 × 58 cm, 1,152 LEDs: $6,700 CAD with electric stand | No single Orion panel this wide. Nearest: Orion Pro 3600, 185 × 46 cm, $7,599 CAD with stand | RLPRO 2000 is wider and costs less than the Pro 3600 with its stand. |
Orion's Pro panels come in two widths, 23 cm (9 in) and 46 cm (18 in). RLPRO panels are 42 to 58 cm wide, so the closest matches are the 46 cm Pro 3000 and 3600, near the top of Orion's prices. If a 23 cm panel covers enough of you, the Pro 1500 ($2,899) and Pro 1800 ($3,599) cost less than any RLPRO.
Where Orion is the better buy
- You want to spend less than $2,500. Hale's smallest setup is $3,900 CAD. Orion has several options below that:
- Edge 2: $449 CAD, 12 LEDs, tabletop stand included
- Pro 300: $799 CAD, 60 LEDs, 13 × 9 in, tabletop stand included
- Orion One: $1,099 CAD, 60 LEDs, six wavelengths, tabletop stand included
- Pro 600: $1,099 CAD, 120 LEDs, 25 × 9 in
- Pro 900: $1,799 CAD, 180 LEDs, 36.5 × 9 in
- One Plus: $1,899 CAD, 240 LEDs, 39 × 8 in, six wavelengths
- Pro 1200: $2,199 CAD, 240 LEDs, 50 × 9 in
- You want it soon. Orion lists 1 to 2 days of processing plus 2 to 7 business days of delivery from Vancouver. Hale publishes 25 to 30 business days.
- You want longer to decide. Orion gives 60 days on panels against Hale's 30. Both make you pay return shipping.
- You want to build in pieces. Orion's One-series panels link into the Dual and Quad, and its door kits and Two Way stands suit smaller rooms.
Where RLPRO is the better buy
- Full-length panels for less. The RLPRO 1000 and 1200 cost less, with a stand, than the Orion Pro 3000 and 3600 that match them in size.
- The widest single panel. The RLPRO 2000 is 189 × 58 cm. The widest Orion panel we found is 46 cm.
- More wavelengths. Eight on RLPRO, including 1060 nm, against two on the Orion Pro series and six on the One series. More wavelengths don't establish better results.
- A longer warranty, three years against the two years Orion shows on its panel pages, and an electric stand on the RLPRO 1200 and 2000 that lifts the panel horizontal.

Output figures
Hale's published panel output figures are manufacturer measurements at six inches, not independent third-party test results. LED count and wavelength count do not establish better outcomes or a shorter treatment time. Orion publishes 120 to 130 mW/cm² at six inches for its Pro 300 to 900, and ">120" or ">160" mW/cm² without a distance for its larger panels. Figures taken by different sellers, with different meters and at different points on the panel, can't be ranked against each other. Ask each seller for a reading at your treatment distance; our guide to how strong a home panel should be explains what to ask.
Health Canada licensing
Hale's RLPRO 1200 and 2000 appear as RL1200PRO and RL2000PRO under licence 111226, held by the manufacturer. The RLPRO 1000 isn't on that licence.
Orion's homepage shows a "Health Canada Licensed" badge without a licence number. When we searched Health Canada's database on October 14, 2026 by the company and device names we tried, we couldn't match a record. That doesn't mean Orion's panels are unlicensed. A licence can be listed under the manufacturer's name or a generic device name, which our search wouldn't catch. Ask Orion for the licence number for your model, then check it yourself with our licence guide.
Questions
Is Orion red light therapy Canadian?
Yes. Orion's terms name Orion Innovations Ltd., its store ships from Vancouver, and Vancouver Magazine reported its 2020 launch there. We didn't find where its panels are manufactured.
Is Orion Health Canada licensed?
Orion's homepage says "Health Canada Licensed" but doesn't show a licence number, and our name search in Health Canada's database didn't match a record. That doesn't mean the panels are unlicensed; ask Orion for the licence number for your model and check it in the database.
Are there Orion reviews?
We haven't tested Orion panels, and Trustpilot had no page for either Orion domain when we checked on October 14, 2026. Before you buy, read the 60-day trial terms and ask for an output reading at your treatment distance.
Does Orion charge duties to Canada?
No. Its shipping policy says customers in Canada and the United States won't be charged import duties.
How much do Orion panels cost in Canada?
On orionrlt.ca, from $449 for the Edge 2 to $7,199 for the Pro 3600, or $7,599 with its Two Way+ stand, which adds $400 to the larger Pro panels. Checked October 14, 2026, before shipping and tax. Prices on the USD store are different.
What's the warranty, Orion or Hale?
Orion shows two years on its panels and one year on the Edge 2 and stands. Hale RLPRO carries three years.
